This wine course offers an introduction to wine. In five evening sessions (divided over a three month period) we will take you on a tour through the world’s most important wine regions, emphasizing their main grape varieties.
As every public meeting, we have to follow the regulations of the government and our locations. So starting September 25th, there will be a check upon entry, by the teacher, or the reception of the location. For this you need the corona app and your ID. Thank you in advance for your understanding.
This wine course offers an introduction to wine and is suitable for beginners as well as for advanced persons.
The course is designed to teach wine in a practical manner. The objective is to increase the knowledge of a wine enthusiast in a relatively short period of time.
The course will provide students with a good insight to all aspects of wine and wine tasting, so that one will feel more confident about how to purchase wine, pair wine with food or select a wine from a wine list in a restaurant.
In five evening sessions we will teach you more about wine. The evening classes last from 19:30 to approximately 22:15 hours. General topics include: wine making techniques, the concept of ‘terroir’ and wine labeling.
Each class involves an elaborate tasting session, whereby wines, from both the Old and New World, will be tasted and compared. The material offered in this wine course is new and unique.
The course content is basically equivalent to the officially recognized national level of SDEN 2. There is a
possibility to take part to the official wine exams ( in English) of SDEN 2 in the Netherlands. See our site for dates and places.
